[Show thumbnails] General Description: This park has 10 historic buildings and lots of open space. There is an open air amphitheater and Kountze Lake is nearby. The historic part of the part has several types of historic buildings including a 50s type diner, an abandoned gas station, a farm house, and a barn. There are some great paths, trees, and benches around to work with as well. Photographic Highlights: Historic Buildings Farm Equipment Amenities: Bathrooms Parking and Accessibility: There is a large paved parking lot at the Lakewood Heritage Center. There area paved paths throughout the entire area. This is a very accessible location. Hours of Operation: Still trying to find the actual hours for this park. I imagine that this is part of the Lakewood Park System, but I am not sure just yet. Restrictions: You may be asked for a permit for some photo activities. [Show thumbnails] General Description: This is a small community park next to the Murphy Creek K-8 School. It isn’t much, but it could be a very cute place to take a small child for photographs. The playground equipment is well maintained and resembles a painted old homestead. There is a lovely windmill, but it is right next to the playground. There is a large maintained grass soccer field and a large natural grassy area as well. The Murphy Creek Golf course is across the street. A park from the City of Aurora Parks, Recreation, and Open Space System. Photographic Highlights: Windmill Natural grassy area Maintained grassy area Cute painted homestead playground equipment Amenities: Bathrooms that may be locked periodically Parking and Accessibility: Parking along E. [Show thumbnails] General Description: City and County of Denver Park. This is a large, well used park with several sports that utilize it on a regular basis. There are large well maintained grassy areas, large mowed weedy areas, several types of trees, a natural creek that runs throughout the whole area, and a lot of paved and unpaved trails. Photographic Highlights: Goldsmith Gulch – Long natural creek with large weedy type plants along it Several crossings of the creek, developed and undeveloped, that are usable for different types of photographs Large spaces Lots of benches and rocks to pose people around Many metal and wood bridges Flowering Trees in Spring Evergreen Trees Deciduous Trees Grass Fields Weed Fields Gravel Paths Paved Paths Tennis Courts Baseball Fields Soccer Fields   Amenities: Bathrooms Trash Receptacles Parking and Accessibility: Large parking area extends from Yale into the park There are lots of established paths as this is a well used and maintained park   Hours of Operation: 5am – 11pm   Restrictions: This is a well used park with lots of other people around. City and County of Denver Park Dogs must be on a leash. No alcohol allowed except for 3.2 beer. No marijuana allowed. No glass containers allowed. No weapons or fireworks. No loud music or noise. No disturbing the peace. Sale of goods or services requires a Parks and Recreation Permit. No camping, tents, or unpermitted structures. Motorized vehicles allowed only on roads and parking areas.
